Try being a stranger in Gangneung. It’s a private second-floor space in the Junggi Alley of Ponam-dong. Step into the romantic atmosphere of the old town. July and August are the seasons for strangers— here in Gangneung, that is.
It is a 5-minute walk from Gangneung Station. There are plenty of great restaurants and convenient amenities nearby, such as a laundromat (just a minute away) and convenience stores. Experience the charm and convenience of the old city center, featuring parks, saunas, and jjimjilbangs (Korean dry saunas).
A tenant lives on the first floor. Please keep noise to a minimum.
Within a 5-minute walk, you’ll find popular Gangneung restaurants (famous for dishes like cockles, jjamppong, ongsimi, ssambap, and kalguksu), as well as parks, jjimjilbangs (Korean saunas), and laundromats, making it a very convenient place to live. It’s located in the trendy Junggi Alley area. ^^
All utility charges are included in the management fee. Additional management fees may be charged in the event of excessive usage of the included utilities.
I had a wonderful stay during the Dano Festival! :) The interior was lovely, and the location was great too. 👍 I especially appreciated the hot water and the excellent hair dryer. >-< Thank you for being so considerate throughout my stay! I’ll definitely be back next year!
I had a wonderful stay. The owner was incredibly kind and attentive to every detail. If I visit Gangneung again, I would definitely love to stay here.
The location is excellent. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, and both the dawn market and the central market are close by. Anmok Beach isn't far either, so I rode my bicycle there (I brought my own bike). The neighborhood is quiet, so I wasn't disturbed at all while sleeping. It was chilly because of the rain, but the room warmed up quickly once I turned on the heating. The host was very kind and responded immediately to any questions I had. Thanks to them, I had a very comfortable stay. Oh, and the stairs are quite steep, so you should be careful if you have young children.

When you need a break It takes courage to just rest! ^^
