The window is a single, thin pane that offers no soundproofing; you can hear people walking and talking right outside, making it hard to sleep. Also, the window has been sloppily painted over, so it won't open. Since the window can't be opened, ventilation is difficult—which is a real problem for a semi-basement unit. You can see paint stains on the curtains, and I actually developed hives for the first time in my life while living here. There was no drying rack when I moved in, so I had to ask for one and assemble it myself; the bathroom drain was so neglected that the grime had hardened and wouldn't scrub off, causing frequent clogs. Generally, the place lacks basic amenities; there are so many missing items that I have to buy a lot of things separately.
Everything else was good, but it's a bit disappointing that I couldn't get in touch with the owner.
