The place wasn't clean, and it was very far from all subway lines—especially the key ones connecting to areas like Myeongdong and Hongdae—so taking the bus was the only option. If you don't mind a 40-minute to one-hour bus ride, then this won't be an issue for you. It is close to spots like Dongdaemun, Seongsu (30 minutes away), and Gangnam (40 minutes south), but generally far from central Seoul (Seoul Station). It took an hour and a half to get there from the airport. I’d rate the cleanliness a 4/10; there were moldy patches behind the bed. There were also a lot of bugs, likely because it was a semi-basement unit. I suppose you get what you pay for.
I had a great stay here during my internship. It’s a two-room unit with excellent clothes storage (hangers and racks), so my friend and I stayed comfortably. I was a bit worried since it’s a semi-basement, but the ventilation was good, and I didn't see any large bugs at all. :)
