Hello, I am the host of Yeoonjae Hoengseong. This is a newly built private home (completed in 2025) that my parents created by personally purchasing the mountain and building a bridge. It was built with the hope that it would be a place where children and grandchildren—after living busy city lives— could find not just rest, but a space to recharge and revitalize their lives. [Two private streams at different depths, just a 1-minute walk away] Enjoy catching freshwater snails and swimming in the summer, or breaking the ice in the winter. Experience two streams— one ankle-deep and one waist-deep (depths may vary with rainfall)—to your heart's content. [Walking and jogging paths] Follow the path toward Bongboksa Temple and fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Gangwon-do. Only at Yeoonjae 💗

I booked this place way in advance because I really wanted to stay here in the summer, and I was absolutely delighted with the experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The accommodation was spotless, and the bedding was cozy and comfortable. We stayed as a large group with children, and having two dining tables was incredibly convenient. 😻 There’s a stream just a 3-minute walk from the house, and the water was so clear that we could catch freshwater snails, tadpoles, frogs, and minnows! It was a fantastic opportunity for the kids to observe nature up close. (We even saw tadpoles in the middle of transforming, with just their hind legs showing—haha!) We also caught butterflies and longhorn beetles on the deck; my son was completely engrossed in insects every single day. 🙂 We even picked and washed some *borisu* (silverberries) growing nearby to eat. On clear nights, the sky was filled with so many stars it looked like they were about to pour down! Thanks to that, I got to see the Big Dipper for the first time in ages. Being nestled in the mountains, it was a truly quiet and peaceful time. There was no traffic nearby, so it was safe and wonderful to take walks with the kids. I wanted to give my city-dwelling children a chance to fully enjoy nature, and seeing how happy they were made the week-long stay feel all too short. I’ll definitely visit again if I get the chance! 💌💓💓
I spent my time exactly as I pleased. The accommodation was spotless and well-equipped, and any issues were addressed immediately. There was no need to go anywhere else; simply staying at the property and taking walks in the surrounding area was incredibly healing. The local eateries and the five-day market were delightful little bonuses, too. I would love to visit again.
This is the best accommodation I found while looking for a place without noise concerns because I was suffering from noise between floors. It was so quiet that I slept very well, and the interior furnishings were perfectly equipped, so there was no inconvenience at all. Thanks to the kind host, I had a more pleasant stay. The road to the accommodation is narrow, but there are almost no cars, and it's a place with a quiet charm, so I plan to revisit.
