Hello. I checked out at 10 AM; today was a moving day, so things were hectic, and I’m only just confirming my departure now.
The neighborhood around Desian is great, and the interior was pleasant—with good natural light and airflow—so I had a comfortable stay.
However, there was one concerning issue. I moved in on Monday, Sept. 7th. The next day, Tuesday, around 4 PM, I briefly stopped by the house to pick up my daughter's academy bag after kindergarten, and the elderly woman from the unit below came up. She immediately shouted at my child to stop running. Since she was yelling at a child who hadn't even been home until that moment, I didn't react very pleasantly either. She complained that she had come up 2–3 times the previous week and asked why I hadn't opened the door even though I was home. I explained that I had only moved in yesterday, so it must have been someone else the week before. She got angry, saying there was a sick person (her husband) downstairs and that the constant stomping—day and night—made it impossible to live there.
From my perspective, it felt unfair; my family only gathers after 9 PM, we eat out, and we just come home to wash up and sleep. I told her this is a short-term rental where tenants change frequently, but she left angrily, insisting that we stay quiet for however long we were there.
For those two weeks, I was constantly on edge—watching how I walked, closing doors gently, lifting chairs instead of dragging them, and repeatedly cautioning my child. It was quite stressful.
Anyway, I did have a good stay overall, but perhaps you could include a note about noise in the guidelines for future tenants?
Also, you might want to put noise-dampening covers on the chairs and sofa; the dragging sound was quite loud whenever they were moved. It would also be good to install door stoppers.
The doors would slam shut loudly whenever the windows were left open. I’m not sure if the elderly lady downstairs has contacted the management office, but back when I was doing the interior renovations for my Hillstate unit, she came up to see me on the very first day. I ended up buying some health supplements and visiting her, and we resolved the issue amicably; however, I’m mentioning this now because I suspect the elderly lady here might keep coming to see you as well.
