Maengbang Beach is less than a minute's walk across the street from the accommodation. It has the longest sandy beach among the East Coast beaches. It is also known as Myeongsa Simri Beach. You can fish from the breakwater. It is right next to the C-Spo-Ville Golf Course. There is also a pine forest path for forest bathing. Nearby attractions include Deokbongsan Mountain, Rail Bike, Chodangji Freshwater Fish Exhibition Hall, the thousand-year-old Shinheungsa Temple, Yonghwa Marine Cable Car, Yonggul Chotdaebawi Rock, Hwanseongul Cave, Daegumgul, Hwaligiri Natural Recreation Forest, Moss Waterfall, Miin Waterfall, Choo Choo Park, Jungyeongmyo, Yeonggyeongmyo, and Jukseoru Pavilion. There are many restaurants and tourist attractions around Saecheonnyeon-ro and Samcheok Beach.
