This was the first home where our family—a couple with two young children—lived during our time in Jeju. Although it is an old rural Jeju house, I could feel the care the owner put into every detail, from the decor to the appliances; it was evident that the owner is someone who truly knows how to run a household. The kids loved playing with water on the front deck and having barbecues in the evening. The elderly owner even gave us onions and garlic, which we used to cook our meals. A "Clean House" (waste disposal station) is very close by, and Bukchon Port is just a five-minute walk away, making it perfect for morning strolls. Since Hamdeok and Gimnyeong beaches are nearby, we spent many afternoons playing by the sea after the kids woke up from their naps. Hanaro Mart and Daiso were also close, so we enjoyed taking casual walks there every day. For a family of four, the refrigerator and washing machine were sized for just a day's worth of use; however, this actually encouraged us to live in the moment—using only what we needed each day rather than stockpiling things. The dining table was round, allowing us to sit facing each other and enjoy meals together. The bedroom gets plenty of sunlight. If you are sensitive to light, you can simply buy blackout film from Daiso and apply it to the windows. Of the four sides surrounding the house, two face roads, one faces a field, and only one faces a neighbor's house. In our apartment, we were always telling the kids to be quiet so as not to disturb the neighbors, but here, we could sing, laugh, and play freely without worrying about anyone else. (Of course, we all go to bed by 9 PM.) The bed was spacious and comfortable, and the newly renovated parking area is roomy and convenient. The owner was kind and quick to respond. There wasn't a single thing to complain about; we had a truly blissful time here.
The old stone house in Jeju was well-remodeled, and all items were prepared with the convenience of the guests in mind. It was also convenient to use public transportation, and it was very good for walking and sightseeing because Bukchon Port and Hamdeok Beach were close. This is an accommodation I would definitely like to use next time.
I had a good rest. The neighborhood is quiet, so it's great for healing.
