Starfield at Samseong Station, Bukhansan

I stayed at Samsong Skansen for a short term and was generally satisfied, so I’m leaving this review. First of all, it was convenient to get around since it’s close to Samsong Station, and with necessary amenities nearby, I experienced almost no inconvenience in my daily life. I also appreciated the building's various facilities, such as the community area for working out. Sometimes it’s difficult to access such facilities during short-term stays, but the landlord allowed me to use the community amenities and even handled the parking registration for free, making my stay very comfortable. Above all, the landlord is kind. They responded quickly whenever I reached out and promptly took care of any needs, ensuring a comfortable stay. Personally, I was most grateful for the experience on my last day. I did some laundry before checking out, but it wasn't drying as quickly as expected, which put me in a bit of a bind. When traveling or on business trips, having to pack wet clothes because laundry didn't dry in time is a real hassle. However, without me even asking, the landlord had topped up the credit for the coin laundry room, allowing me to use the dryer on my final day. Thanks to that, I could pack up with a pleasant feeling, having dried my clothes thoroughly instead of having to pack them while wet. It might seem like a small thing, but such thoughtfulness is truly appreciated during trips, and it left a lasting impression on me. The bed is a low-profile style. Preferences vary, of course, but I actually prefer low beds, so I found it very comfortable. To mention a few downsides: the air conditioning is a central system rather than an individual unit, so it can get a bit warm during the day in transitional seasons when full cooling isn't yet active. Since I’m sensitive to heat, this was a bit of a drawback for me. However, it likely wouldn't be an issue during peak summer when the cooling system is fully operational. Regarding the price, it isn't exactly cheap compared to other options if you consider a long-term stay. However, compared to other units I looked into at Samsong Skansen, the price was similar or slightly lower; considering the location, building facilities, parking, and access to community amenities, it was a reasonable deal.

First of all, the host is quick to respond and truly kind! The place is clean, quiet, and conveniently located near Samsong Station. The unobstructed view of Bukhansan Mountain lifts my spirits every time I walk in. It is well-equipped with all the essentials for daily living, so you can move in with just your personal belongings. Thanks to the excellent natural light and ventilation, laundry dries perfectly without needing a dryer. I also love that the bathroom is so pleasant and spacious relative to the size of the studio. Highly recommended!

I had such a wonderful time staying for the past month. The interior was nice, but the view was also great, so I think I will miss it. I will book in advance and come back this winter. I was able to concentrate well on my studies, it was cozy, and the surrounding commercial area was great, so I had a really comfortable stay.
