Staying in the village of Handong-ri for a few days allowed me to truly savor the pace of Jeju. The cozy space, the stone walls, and the view from the window left a lasting impression. I had such a relaxing stay that I’m sad to be leaving. I’ll cherish the memories made in this little stone house in Handong-ri for a long time. Thank you! 💖
Great location in the east: 9 minutes to Woljeong-ri, 11 to Gimnyeong, 20 to Hamdeok, 6 to Pyeongdae-ri, 11 to Sehwa Beach, 28 to Seongsan Ilchulbong, and 11 to Bijarim. Since my 8-month-old baby cried a lot at times, I was relieved to have a private, detached house (though I was a bit worried the elderly neighbors next door might be startled). There was an unexplained odor for the first week, but the host checked in to ask if there were any issues, so I felt comfortable mentioning it; although they offered to take a look, the smell disappeared soon after, so we fortunately spent the remaining week odor-free. Keeping in mind that it’s a country house, I really enjoyed resting in this lovely, authentic Jeju-style home with a beautiful yard! The host is kind.
It has a front yard, the village is quiet, and I'm satisfied.
