There is a window in the kitchen area near the stove and a large window right next to the refrigerator, so I imagine you didn't have any major issues with cooking. The light also dimmed during use, making it difficult to find a service provider immediately. I had actually purchased a replacement light for the bathroom, but I couldn't coordinate a time with a technician because you mentioned you were going on a week-long trip. It wasn't a light that could be replaced simply; switching to an LED bulb required installing a mounting bracket, so please understand why a layperson couldn't handle the replacement. I tried to replace it a day before your departure, but I couldn't because you weren't home. I was doing my absolute best to take care of everything. It was very difficult because I couldn't get in touch with you on the day of checkout. There was no response to my texts or calls. Another guest was scheduled to check in that day. Not knowing when you would leave, three of us—myself and two part-time workers—waited at a coffee shop from 11:00 AM. After struggling to reach customer service and explaining the situation, I received a call back saying they had finally made contact with you. You apparently thought checkout was the following day, but said you would check out in an hour. Three of us spent 3 hours and 20 minutes cleaning. It was a difficult job due to the grease on the kitchen stove, the state of the other rooms, and a burnt frying pan that was impossible to clean properly. I lost count of how many times I vacuumed and mopped the living room. We were pressed for time and the unit hadn't been vacated yet, so I waited while treating the part-time staff to lunch and coffee. I handled the checkout inspection without charging any additional cleaning fees.
