Iho Tewoo Room near the airport

I had a wonderful month-long stay. The space was a good size for one person, and with the sea right out front and a well-maintained path where many people jog, I even ended up going for runs—something I’d never done before. It’s a quiet neighborhood, so I was able to truly relax and recharge. It would be even better if there were a small table and a chair in the room, though; it was a bit awkward trying to have a quick meal or put down small items.

This is a review of my one-week stay! I made a last-minute reservation inquiry the day before my arrival. After checking the cleaning schedule, I was informed that check-in would be possible the next day, so I proceeded with the booking. Since I booked on such short notice, I didn't have sky-high expectations; however, the price wasn't exactly cheap, and given the many positive reviews, I expected the place to be reasonably clean. I was very disappointed after checking in. Due to the poor sanitary conditions—including a musty smell permeating the room and bedding (I’m using the word "musty" to be polite, but it actually smelled strongly like a bachelor's pad...), limescale in the toilet, and dust on the tables—I immediately asked if the room had been cleaned. I was told that the cleaning might have been insufficient because it was done in a rush on the day of my arrival. If that was the case, I believe I should have been informed when I made the inquiry the day before. Just because a reservation is made last-minute doesn't mean the guest should have to accept a poorly cleaned room. I don't know who stayed there before me, but the smell was ingrained in the entire room. I had to use air freshener daily and keep the windows open for ventilation throughout the entire week (except on rainy days), and I spent as little time in the accommodation as possible. Since the rental fee includes management and cleaning costs, I really questioned whether this was acceptable. I admit I am somewhat sensitive about hygiene, but it is difficult to consider a place well-managed when the dehumidifier in the closet has completely turned into water... Despite having so many complaints, I am giving a 3-star rating because the host responded quickly to my issues and took prompt action to address them. I hope this feedback encourages you to strive for better room conditions in the future. (The building itself appeared to be newly constructed.) • Pros: The sea is right in front of the accommodation (though there is no direct ocean view), there is a popular Jeju restaurant in the building, the host is kind, and there is active CCTV in front of the building, allowing for a worry-free stay. • Cons: Poor hygiene and cleanliness, lack of proper management, and gas/electricity bills must be settled separately. I hope this review is helpful to everyone planning a happy trip to Jeju.

The location was great and it was clean, which I liked.
