This is a quiet, cozy, and sun-drenched two-room unit with an inviting, nostalgic charm. Located within the historic city center (inside the Four Great Gates), it offers excellent transportation links, making it convenient for both sightseeing and daily living. The neighborhood is safe and secure, with a police station located right nearby. Although technically a semi-basement, it sits just three steps below ground level; thanks to its south-facing orientation and open space in front of the building, the unit enjoys plenty of natural light. Fully equipped with all necessary amenities, the two-room layout allows families or friends to enjoy a balance of shared and private time. The bed is an expandable model that converts to a king size, accommodating up to four guests.
- A bus stop serving various parts of Seoul (including Gangnam, Sinchon, Gwanghwamun, and Sungshin Women's University) is just a 2-minute walk away, and Hyehwa Station (Line 4) is a 5-minute walk away. - You can easily reach Daehak-ro, Sungkyunkwan University, Seoul National University Hospital, and Gwangjang Market either on foot or by taking a local shuttle bus. - The location is also convenient for visiting areas within Jongno-gu, such as Ikseon-dong, Bukchon, and Samcheong-dong; I highly recommend getting there using the "Ttareungi" public bike-sharing service.
- Check-in is contactless. - Check-in is at 4:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:00 AM. - Smoking is prohibited. - Please be mindful of noise, as the property is located in a residential area. - The rate is based on 2 guests, with a maximum capacity of 4 guests. (An additional fee of 30,000 KRW per person applies for extra guests.) - Pets are permitted only if they are quiet and trained to relieve themselves outdoors (so as not to disturb neighbors); an additional fee of 100,000 KRW applies.
- Located near Daehak-ro, it is a great spot for enjoying theater and cultural activities, and is close to Changgyeonggung Palace, Seoul National University Hospital, and Sungkyunkwan University. - The room is always thoroughly cleaned, ensuring it is in top condition for your arrival.
The maintenance fee includes all utilities (electricity, gas, water, and internet). However, an additional fee applies: 30,000 KRW during the summer season (July–September) and 50,000 KRW during the winter season (December–February).
The host was incredibly kind. :) I was touched that they prepared snacks in advance, knowing I was visiting with a child. The place was spotless, and I was impressed by the thoughtful attention paid to every detail. It was conveniently close to the city center, yet located in a residential area, allowing for a quiet stay free from noise. Quick responses to any inquiries also made the experience very convenient. I enjoyed a comfortable stay for three weeks without any issues.
