18-3 Hyoja-ro 9-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul 3F

A private studio just minutes from the walls of Gyeongbokgung Palace—not the fifteen or twenty-minute walk implied by most listings, and not part of an apartment complex. It is a quiet third-floor unit in a residential building in Seochon, situated above street level. Spanning approximately 33 square meters, it features a private kitchen, bathroom, and entrance. Pets are welcome.
Gyeongbokgung Palace is just a few minutes away. Gyeongbokgung Station (Line 3) is about a 6-minute walk away, offering direct access to Jongno, Chungmuro, Apgujeong, and the Express Bus Terminal. Gwanghwamun is 15 minutes away.
Wi-Fi and a one-time move-in kit (bedding, towels, and cookware for two) are included. Utilities are covered for standard usage; excessive consumption will be billed separately. No ongoing services (e.g., housekeeping or linen changes) are provided. Toiletries and toilet paper are not restocked; please bring your own. The unit is cleaned only between tenancies, and a one-time cleaning fee applies at move-in. This is a private rental property, not a hotel or guesthouse. No smoking. Pets are allowed with a one-time cleaning fee of 50,000 KRW; please notify us in advance. Located on the third floor; no elevator. Parking is available (non-designated spots). The door access code will be sent once the lease is confirmed. [Operational Notice] This space operates as a short-term rental property, not a commercial lodging facility. Bedding, towels, and tableware are provided once upon check-in; disposable items, toiletries, and hygiene products are not supplied, so please bring your own. Tenants are responsible for cleaning, laundry, and waste sorting; housekeeping services are not provided.
THE BUILDING Located on the third floor of a small residential building in Seochon, with five units per landing. There is no elevator, so it is a walk-up—but it is quiet and enjoys plenty of natural light. Windows on the upper floors face the outer walls of Gyeongbokgung Palace—a rare view for this area. THE NEIGHBORHOOD Seochon is the historic district that most visitors pass by on their way to the palace. It features narrow lanes, small bookstores, family-run restaurants, and a view of Inwangsan Mountain at the end of the street. Jahamun-ro 10-gil—known as "Cafe Street"—is just thirty seconds away. Also nearby are the Changing of the Guard ceremony, Tongin Market, and the National Palace Museum and National Folk Museum (both offer free admission). Rent a *hanbok* at the palace gates—wearing one grants you free admission.
Gas, water, electricity, and high-speed internet are included for normal residential use. If consumption significantly exceeds the normal level for a single occupant, the excess amount will be billed separately within the same month, and the utility bill will be presented to you. The fee also covers building maintenance and waste collection.

The location was incredibly convenient, within walking distance of both Gyeongbokgung Palace and the station! The interior was stylish, and the room was spacious. Having a police station right across the street also made me feel secure. The only thing was that the shower setup was a bit unfamiliar to a Japanese person, but otherwise, everything was fantastic!
Thank you, Mari. We appreciate you highlighting the convenient location, within walking distance of Gyeongbokgung Palace and the station. Since the shower setup—featuring a floor drain and handheld sprayer—is common in Korean homes but might be unfamiliar at first, we’ve added a brief explanation to the move-in guide. We look forward to seeing you again next time you visit Seochon.
