I came to Korea for medical consultations and surgery; because I needed to follow dietary restrictions and work remotely, I carefully selected an accommodation that allowed for cooking and daily living. I specifically chose this place because the listing stated that cooking utensils and a rice cooker were provided. However, in reality, there wasn't even a rice cooker, let alone basic cooking tools like pots or frying pans. The stove was a gas range rather than the induction cooktop listed, and the desk and dining table were combined into a single unit. What was even more baffling was the host's response. Initially, they stated, "There are no cooking utensils!" but when I pointed out the incorrect listing details, they argued that scissors and a paring knife counted as cooking utensils, claiming it wasn't true that there were none. They also questioned why I was complaining when they had accommodated an early check-in, asked how they could have known about my personal situation regarding hospital visits and cooking, and suggested I should have asked about the cooking utensils beforehand if they were important. I wasn't asking them to know my personal circumstances in advance or to make special accommodations for them. I simply booked the place believing that the information the host "personally registered" was accurate. While I appreciate the early check-in, that does not justify providing incorrect information about the accommodation. Had the information been accurate from the start, I would not have chosen this place. I also found it hard to accept their argument that I shouldn't complain because they and previous guests were satisfied. Other people's satisfaction and the accuracy of the listing information are separate issues. They told me I could check out if I wasn't happy, but finding new accommodation and moving my luggage on such short notice would have been a huge burden. The host later apologized and ordered cooking utensils, but they didn't arrive until the third day of my week-long stay. Furthermore, the pot provided caused food to stick easily—even when just reheating soup—making cleanup difficult, and the diatomaceous earth drying mat was too small to be practical. In the end, I gave up on cooking for myself. The location and transport links are excellent, and there are plenty of towels, making it a decent spot for those who just need a place to sleep or only plan to use the microwave; however, I still don't understand why the guest who booked the stay has to bear the responsibility and inconvenience caused by incorrect information.
Overall, it was a great stay. The host provided everything needed for a comfortable visit, including plenty of useful household essentials. Communication was excellent; the host was always available and very responsive, even across different time zones. Everything went smoothly and comfortably. I would definitely recommend this place!
The room is very clean and well-equipped.
