Everything was perfect, and I had a comfortable week-long stay. It was also fun to explore the many restaurants nearby for dinner after returning from my daily outings. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Gunsan in the future.
I was a bit concerned due to some negative past reviews, but I decided to book because the host manages multiple listings and the reviews for their other properties were excellent. The place looked exactly like the photos; they provided plenty of supplies—two sets of bedding, four extra towels, laundry detergent, fabric softener, toilet paper, and more—far better than other rentals. I was especially impressed that they even provided a first-aid kit. Having a water purifier was a great plus, and having two bathrooms was very convenient. While the bathroom drains would slow down a bit after running the water for a while, it wasn't a major issue. The sink was equipped with an odor-blocking feature, so there was absolutely no unpleasant smell from the laundry or drains, even though we used the washing machine every day. If you're worried about the previous reviews, I recommend contacting the host beforehand; it will likely put your mind at ease. Despite visiting during the peak travel season, I had a wonderful and relaxing stay. (Street parking is difficult because it's a nightlife district, but the building's parking spot was always available, making parking very convenient.) Above all, the host was incredibly kind.
I rarely leave reviews, but... This is an old motel room worth exactly 25,000 won. I signed a one-month lease; I wanted a refund the moment I walked in, but since refunds weren't allowed, I just had to grit my teeth and stay. It looked clean in the photos, but the AC smelled, and the master bathroom was unusable—the toilet didn't work and the water wouldn't drain. Taking a shower in the master bathroom caused a flood because the water wouldn't drain. When I asked for repairs, they just said they’d improve things "next time"—but I had to live there for a whole month... The laundry smelled even after washing, so I checked the machine; the odor inside was terrible. I ended up going to a laundromat or packing my clothes to wash them at my parents' house... There was mold everywhere—the sink, bathroom, laundry area, and even the bedding—so I ate out for every meal. It was the worst... Basic amenities weren't provided either; I just endured it and used the place only for sleeping. Maybe they did the interior work themselves? It looks neat and white in the photos, but in person, it looks like they just slapped some paint on haphazardly to make it look good for the pictures... The floors in areas not visible in the photos were covered in mold—I didn't even want to step on them. I hated staying there during my business trip, so on my days off, I’d always go sleep at my parents' place instead. I finally understood why they warn that you could be held liable for unreported damages; things kept breaking, and I realized I might get stuck with the bill if I didn't speak up. Parking was tight, too, and I have no idea why there was a camera at the entrance... I still had time left on my business trip in Gunsan, so I hurriedly booked a different place and am staying in clean accommodation now. ㅠㅠ If the place is in that kind of condition, you should lower the price... I chose it thinking the price point meant it would be decent, but was the price just a bait-and-switch?

Cozy, warm, and clean!
