From the rooftop, Hallasan Mountain appears as close as a nearby hill, and you can even enjoy a view of the distant sea. The view of Hallasan from the veranda is also wonderful. With a fire pit available, you can relax by the fire on the rooftop or in the yard. You can fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of warm Jeju—and specifically, Hyodon, the warmest spot of all.
A 5-minute walk from Hyodon Elementary School bus stop A 2–3 minute walk to a convenience store A 1-minute walk to the waste disposal station (Clean House) The Citrus Museum and Wollabong Oreum are nearby The sea is a 5-minute drive away
Even though Jeju is a small island, the weather varies significantly from neighborhood to neighborhood. Hyodon is remarkably mild, with little wind and warm temperatures. From the rooftop, you can see Hallasan Mountain right up close, as well as the sea.
As the heating system runs on an oil boiler, resulting in high fuel costs during the winter, we plan to charge a higher maintenance fee from December through February.
I had a comfortable stay at a wonderful place during a spontaneous trip to Jeju. Since I was traveling with an 8-month-old baby, I had quite a specific list of requirements: two bedrooms, amenities like a washing machine and microwave, a ground-floor unit with no stairs, convenient parking, proximity to the city center, and a safe environment. This accommodation met every single one of those criteria perfectly! I also met a kind host who recommended a delicious local bakery, making the trip even more enjoyable. Eating fresh sashimi on the rooftop while gazing at Hallasan Mountain was truly delicious, and the view of the tangerine trees was lovely, too.
ღ I met a kind host and had a wonderful time at a great accommodation during my trip to Jeju! ღ While looking for a place to stay with my baby, I found the quiet and secluded "Gyul-hyanggi" (Tangerine Scent) room in Seogwipo, and looking back now that the trip is over, I am incredibly satisfied. We slept in the large room and the baby used the small room, but since the small room also had a large bed, we all ended up sleeping together with the baby :) ღ The basic kitchenware was spotless, and it seemed like great care was taken in selecting the appliances and furniture—including a large fridge, a large washing machine, a TV, and comfortable beds! ღ The bathroom was spacious too, making it perfect for bathing the baby 🫧 The location was excellent for exploring nearby Seogwipo, and with so many things to see, every day was fulfilling and fun. It had been a while since I visited Cheonjiyeon Waterfall and Soesokkak Estuary, and they seemed even better than before! Olle Market is close by too, so definitely check it out. ✿ It would be great if one of the units could be designated as a pet-free zone! It didn't matter to us since we don't have allergies, haha, but I’m hoping more babies will come to visit... ☺️ ✿ Also, having a dehumidifier or humidifier in the future would be amazing; it’s really hard to manage the temperature and humidity in Jeju! >< Anyway, we had such a wonderful stay—I told the host I’d love to visit again next time I’m in Jeju, and I truly mean it! ~ღ ღ ღ
The house is in excellent condition—even better than the photos suggest. The spacious master bedroom is well-equipped with a vanity, sofa, TV, double bed, and wardrobe, while the smaller room also features a double bed, making it very practical. The large-capacity refrigerator and washing machine make daily life convenient, and the terrace offers views of Hallasan Mountain and tangerine orchards—though a "downside" is that it tempts you to have a drink every day! Haha. The landlord is also incredibly kind. Simply the best. 👍
This is a detached house located in the warm neighborhood of Hyodon.
