Recently renovated apartment, great location with a supermarket across the street and friendly neighbors. Communication was fine at first, but we were constantly asked to report any damage. With a toddler, you feel like you have to be extremely careful all the time. At checkout, the landlord said we didn't need to go over everything together. After that, it turned unpleasant. She assumed there was feces on the white bedding without contacting us and used chlorine bleach to clean it. We washed the bedding monthly. There were light stains from body oils and sweat, normal wear and tear on white fabric. My wife hadn't even noticed them. A dry cleaner would have been the right approach, not bleach, which worsens this type of staining. No second set of bedding or maintenance was provided. If you rent out your home, you're in hospitality, and normal wear and tear comes with that.
