Q. Does 33m2 provide a separate lease or proof of residence?

33m2 does not issue separate documents such as an additional lease or proof of residence within the service. If needed, you can print a receipt for your payment from the Lease Details page.

2. Payment & Deposit Refunds

Q. Can I make a bank transfer from overseas?

Transfers from bank accounts opened overseas are not supported. Payments by transfer can only be made from a bank account opened in Korea. 33m2 issues a virtual account for transfer payments, so a family member or friend in Korea can also make the payment on your behalf.

Q. Can I pay with an international card?

Yes. You can pay for your lease using VISA, MasterCard, JCB, UnionPay, or AMEX. Please note that 33m2 processes payments in Korean won (KRW). Payment options (one-time payment or installments) may vary depending on your card issuer, so please check directly with your card provider for details.

Q. What should I do if my card payment fails?

If your card payment doesn’t go through, please check the following:

  • Whether overseas online payments are enabled on your card
  • Your card’s payment limit or security settings
  • Whether 3D Secure (password authentication) is activated
  • If you see a “payment time-out” message, clear cookies/cache and try again
  • Whether your international card allows KRW (Korean won) transactions

Q. If I pay with an international card, how is the deposit refunded?

Your deposit is refunded via a partial cancellation to the same international card used for payment. Because exchange rates can vary depending on the timing of the refund and your card issuer’s policies, the final credited amount may differ slightly. After the cancellation is processed, it may take up to 14 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your card issuer.
