This house sits on a hill in a quiet fishing village. It has been recently renovated and is kept clean, as we visit and use it once a month. A large, ancient tree shades the house, making it wonderfully cool in the summer (though dealing with the fallen leaves in autumn is quite a chore). You can see the sea from the rooms, and the ocean view from the rooftop is spectacular. Amenities such as supermarkets, convenience stores, and restaurants are all nearby. Relaxing comfortably, taking leisurely walks, enjoying delicious Tongyeong cuisine, and feeling as though you’re visiting a relative's home— it’s the perfect place to heal and unwind. We also come here ourselves to rest. We bring our cat along, so there may still be some fur around even after cleaning. Please keep this in mind if you have a cat allergy.
1. If driving your own car: You can park on the roadside in front of the house (no parking enforcement). 2. If taking an express bus: It is most convenient to take a taxi after getting off at Tongyeong Terminal. If taking a local bus (after getting off at Tongyeong Terminal): Take the bus bound for "Samdeok Port." (There are many buses that go to Samdeok Port.) Whether you are going downtown or anywhere else from the house, if you call a Kakao Taxi, it will arrive within 2–3 minutes every time.
Smoking is prohibited indoors, but barbecue facilities are available. Please treat the place like your own home and keep it clean; kindly tidy up before you leave. You may chat late into the night inside, but please refrain from making loud noises outdoors. We prefer groups of around six people, such as families. Please dispose of recyclables and food waste—located at the back of the property—before you leave (there is a disposal area down in the village). Only small dogs are allowed; please be mindful of waste cleanup.
There are plenty of things to see and do, including the Park Kyung-ni Memorial Hall, Yokjido Ferry Terminal, Sanyang Sports Park, Kkumirang Children's Library (next to Sanyang Elementary School), Samdeok Port Live Fish Auction House, Miraesa Temple Cypress Forest Path, the Luge and Cable Car, Sanyugol Arboretum, the Punghwa-ri Coastal Road, and sea fishing.

It was a truly wonderful trip. I experienced such warmth and thoughtfulness from the owner. Even though I’m heading back early, I really enjoyed myself. Stay healthy! ^^
