The heart of Geomdan New Town

The air conditioner was broken from the day we checked in; the temperature dropped to 21°C, causing us to catch colds. After putting up with it for two days, I finally told the landlord. The maintenance person inspected it, opened the ceiling panel, and found a broken valve that prevented temperature control; he gave me the contact details for the repair, which I passed on to the landlord. The landlord said, "Well, it needs fixing," and asked me to send the number, but the tone was condescending—like speaking to a subordinate. They called in a repair technician without even asking if it was okay, then just texted me saying they’d let me know once the technician responded. Later that evening, while I was out and the kids were home alone, they called saying it was freezing and they couldn't turn the AC off; I had to guide them to remove and reinsert the batteries to shut it down. There was also a clump of limescale on the bathroom door that fell off when I nudged it with my foot—I even took a photo of the residue—but the landlord insisted that was impossible. Even though I told them the kids had caught colds, they never once checked in, claiming they thought *we* would contact *them*. When I raised my voice to express my frustration about the lack of communication, they apologized but kept raising their voice too, insisting they had checked everything and found no faults. They said, "If it's cold, just turn it off," but when I pointed out that turning it off made it too hot, they just asked, "So, you're not going to turn it on?" It was absurd. They spoke as if *we* had broken it, so I retorted, "Why would we open the ceiling and break a valve?" We ended up shouting at each other; when I asked why they were getting angry, they apologized but kept raising their voice, saying, "Well, I'm upset too—what do you want me to do?" I told them my voice was raised because I had legitimate complaints, and while they apologized, it didn't feel sincere at all. Oh, and they even asked me to let them know the cost of the batteries I replaced! It’s infuriating and ridiculous; this person clearly isn't cut out for the service industry.

I didn't have high expectations, but the place was cleaner than I thought and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, so I had a comfortable stay. The location was great, making it easy to access nearby facilities, and the host was quick to respond to any inquiries. Overall, I was very satisfied with the quiet and comfortable stay.
