I renovated this rural hanok to use as a weekend getaway, but since I haven't been able to make much use of it, I am listing it here. Cheongsong is wonderful in all four seasons. Private use of the entire house. There is a separate annex building as well (1 room / 1 room serving as both a storage area and a study).
It is most convenient to travel by private car. Use Cheongsong IC or East Andong IC. Located in Jangjeon-ri, before crossing Mungeojae Pass between Andeok and Hyeondong (Dopyeong). Close to Juwangsan Mountain.
Pets are welcome. It is a typical country house. We hope you enjoy your stay.
It is close to Juwangsan Mountain, Jusanji Pond, Baekseoktan Valley, Banghojeong Pavilion, Dinosaur Village, Hwajijae Pass, Songso Old House, Manhyujeong Pavilion, Uiseong Dalbit Park, and the Noraeho Pumped-Storage Power Plant Observatory. There are also valleys and a natural recreation forest nearby. Guests are required to clean up before checking out. Roadwork on the street in front of the house (on the route between Gigye and Andong) has been completed.
The TV offers 255 channels. Internet access is not yet available. (Mobile internet works fine; you can use a hotspot for work.) You can use the yard for firewood and fire pits. It is a practical choice for trips with family or friends. Feel free to relax and enjoy the space as if visiting your grandparents' home. Please take your trash with you when you leave.
There was plenty of space for four adults and a dog without feeling cramped. When it rained, we could quietly enjoy the sound of the rain. The valley stream had dried up, so we went to Yeongdeok Beach instead, which is about an hour away by car. The kitchen was great for cooking, and both disposable and regular dishes were provided. I couldn't find extra toilet paper at first, but they replied right away, which was helpful. You do have to be prepared for ants or bugs, though; I was startled a few times, but we had a good stay overall. Just think of it as staying at a grandmother's house in the countryside.
