Jeju Aewol Ocean Stay
The location and view were great. Although four city gas tanks are visible in the foreground, the view of the lighthouse is beautiful if you focus on that. The sunset is lovely, and the illuminated tanks at night have a certain beauty of their own. It was very convenient having a large Daiso and Hanaro Mart just a five-minute drive away. Kwakji Beach and the café street were also easily accessible, about a ten-minute drive away. The house was clean and spacious, though the small kitchen was a bit of a challenge. There were absolutely no seasonings provided, so I had to buy everything; it would be great if basics like oil, salt, sugar, and pepper were stocked. The bedding was clean and odor-free. I booked the place thinking there were three air conditioners—assuming only one room lacked one—but there were actually only two; one unit seemed broken, as it blew cold air but made a constant rattling noise, making it difficult to use. A fan was provided, but since I had to sleep with the door open, outside noise frequently disturbed my sleep. The biggest issue was the washing machine. It had a strong moldy odor; even after cleaning the tub, the smell persisted and actually transferred to the laundry, making it unpleasant to use. I kept the door open to air it out, but it likely needs a professional internal cleaning. Parking was a bit difficult; the lot would fill up by 6 or 7 PM, leaving no space, so I had to park on the street outside. Still, I was generally satisfied with my stay. The Aewol location made it convenient to travel around the area.
